• Awami League Chief Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman met Agha Muhammad Yahya Khan for a long meeting behind closed doors.

 

• After the meeting Sheikh Mujibur briefed the press saying they talked about pressing political issues in the nation and they will meet again tomorrow.

 

• In a historic move India bans any plane from using or moving over the Indian air space. A ploy to ensure that no plane carrying military personnel could fly to East Pakistan from West Pakistan.
