- In the continuing peaceful agitations all offices and business places remained closed. Daylong meetings and rallies continued in the city and black flags continued to fly even on vehicles
- Amidst heavy security President Yahya Khan arrived in Dhaka from Karachi. Governor Lieutenant General Tikka Khan welcomed him in the airport. No Journalist or Bangladeshi is allowed there.
- Peoples Party Chairman Z. A. Bhutto in Karachi, in a new Press conference put forward a new set of demand saying that Awami League and Peoples party should form a new government in conjuncture.
- Awami League General secretary in a late night statement reaffirmed the support of people in Bangabandhu’s call for peaceful non-cooperation movements.
