Congratulating the speech of Yahya Khan, Nejame Islam joint secretary Maulana Abdul Matin and president of its parliamentary board Sayed Manurul Ahsan, in a joint statement, say they will not compromise with the miscreants. Pakistan has been established for steadiness.

  • A platoon of Pakistan army come under mine attack of five-member demolition party of Major Salek while going Nayanpur via Shalna river. 10 army are killed and many others injured in the mine explosion. Then the soldiers reclaimed their Shalna river camp.

 

  • A Muktijoddha team led by Major Salek attacks the Shalna river camp in the evening killing 19 Pakistan soldiers and injuring 11 others.

 

  • Company-2 Pakistani soldiers attack the Muktibahini camp in Kateshwar of Comilla. Later, more Pakistan soldiers join the attack. But they retreat after three to four hours of fighting.  At least 24 to 25 Pakistani soldiers are killed there.

 

  • 30 Pakistani soldiers are killed and six others injured when freedom fighters from B Company of Fourth Bengal attack a truck and two jeeps of Pakistan army at Bangalpur of Chouddogram.

 

  • Henry Kissinger, the national security affairs assistant of US president, meets the deputy law military administrator and chief of staff of Pakistan army General Abdul Hamid Khan and travels for Peking secretly at midnight.

 

  • Congratulating the speech of Yahya Khan, Nejame Islam joint secretary Maulana Abdul Matin and president of its parliamentary board Sayed Manurul Ahsan, in a joint statement, say they will not compromise with the miscreants. Pakistan has been established for steadiness.

 

  • Nejame Islam Joint Secretary Maulana Abdul Matin and the party’s parliamentary board President Abdul Hamid Khan hope that necessary initiatives will be taken to unite Pakistan. They also extended their support to the Pakistan government.

 

  • 650 Rajakars obtain training at different union of Phulpur Tanator in Dhaka. 160 of them are given certificates and awards.
