• Joseph Cisco   of the United States Foreign ministry says that the arms provided to Pakistan according to the agreement can only be used for internal protection

 

• Sher-e-Bangla’s son and national committee member A.K. Fazlul Haq says in a statement in Dhaka “ the fact that India is sending Military to East Pakistan can be perceived as nothing but an  ill initiative and they want to part our beloved motherland into two”

 

• To hamper the progress and to bar the attack of Pakistani Military the freedom fighters, with the help, of bombs completely damage the Daulatganj Bridge. This severs all ties between Lakhsham and Noakhali.

 

• In Sylhet, the Pakistan Military attacks the zones where the freedom fighters are stationed. in the face of the attack, the freedom fighters retreat and take position on the southern part of the Surma River.
