• A commando team comprising 15 freedom fighters in line with the direction of Lt Mahbubur ambush Pakistani camp in Mia Bazar. At least 20 Pakistani soldiers are killed and 10 others injured in the hour-long gunfight.

 

• An ambush team of Muktibahini attacks a large team of Pakistani soldiers at Kasba and killed 20 Pakistan soldiers and a Pakistani broker. Eight Pakistani soldiers also sustained injuries 2/3 during the hour-long attack.

 

• Anwar Hossain, a constable of Muktibahini sacrifices his life when the freedom fighters attack Pakistani camp at Barakhata in Kurigram.

 

• US senator Stuart Simington alleges that the government is willingly continuing supplying arms to Pakistan.
