- A flight of Indian Air Force carrying seven members of the provisional government of Bangladesh including Syed Nazrul Islam landsin Dhaka airport. They receive huge reception. Prime Minister Tajuddin Ahmad in the airport urges the people to imply the ideals of democracy, secularism and socialism to reconstruct the war-torn country.
